SHEA CHIC has just announced our very first Charity Fundraiser.  The competition will be between DANNY THOMAS and DARREN LARSEN, both Truman High School Legends!  I will create a custom Shea Butter Body Soap Bar for each of them, however they will choose the color and name of their own bar. A timeframe will be given and whoever sells the most bars will be crowned SHEA CHIC SOAP KING 2010 and he gets to choose which charity will receive the doations.  SHEA CHIC will donate $1.00 for every bar of DANNY THOMAS and DARREN LARSEN soap sold during this SOAP OFF. All of the SHEA CHIC SOAP KING Charity Fundraiser details will be announced Monday, August 30, 2010 on www.SHEACHIC.com on the SOAP KING Charity Fundraiser page.  This should be a lot of fun and raise money for a good cause.  These two competitors are both wonderful men with great big hearts.  They have perfectly matched egos and wit.  This should be a fun Charity Fundraiser and provide tons of laughs.  Also, check SHEA CHIC facebook for daily SOAP KING counts.  This should be a close competition!  The link is provided below. ~April

SHEA CHIC Celebration Dinner

SHEA CHIC is now officially 20 days old! We have not stopped, since our opening August 01, 2010.  So, my Mom surprised us with a little impromptu celebration dinner with balloons, SHEA CHIC cake and all.  I wanted to share this moment with you, because you never know where this little company could go.  Before you know it, we could be at your local store and hopefully a household name. Wouldn't that be fun! Then we all could say... remember when! You never know what the future brings, I've just got to keep working hard and shoot for the stars! ~April

A little about me, Ashley Brown- Owner/Designer for R U Whimsy ? jewelry design.  My fascination with jewelry began when I was a child...  My sister Paige and I would spend hours rummaging through our Grandma Brown's jewelry drawers, every piece was a treasure in our eyes, this fascination continued to deepen.  I would often admire pieces in fashion magazines and ponder the construction, elements, stones.  October 2004, I spotted a turquoise Chanel belt, I NEEDED it, however the cost was $4500.  I studied the piece and the next thing I knew, "voila", my version of the Chanel belt I now had.  Since that day in 2004, R U Whimsy? has grown into an amazing, unique, cutting edge jewelry design business with the goal of bringing the Runway, Couture designs to women everywhere at an affordable price.

Five Fabulous BEAUTY tips

• Your nail polish will always be smooth and easy to apply if you store it in the refrigerator. Frosted nail polish will not separate. However, if it has hardened or is gummy, place the bottle in a pan of boiling water. The polish will be like new.

• Raw potato slices contain potassium that help take away dark circles under the eye.

• To lighten age spots and sun-damaged skin, mix the juice of 1 lemon, 1 lime, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 ounces of plain yogurt. Gently massage into each spot. Use at least once a week.

• Do you need a quick glow to your skin and all over healthier look? Bend over at the waist, as far as you can possibly go, and hold to the count of thirty.

• For cellulite, scrub the skin with a bristle brush or loofah. Brush in slow sweeps, always toward the heart. There are gloves and mitts available to do this, but they're not necessary. Try to do this at least five minutes every day.
